We used to have a drive that was money just about every time……Had a big hayfield with a creek and good stand of woods running along the right side of it and then a paved road on the other side of the creek SMZ……The woods started out pretty big on one end and for about 600-700 yards it just kept funneling down getting narrower and narrower until there was only about 20 yards of woods between the creek and the hayfield…….You could sit right there on the ground against a tree and have someone push it from the other end and the deer would damn near run right over you just about every time…..You were shooting them running right at you down the end of your gun barrel

\back in the late 70s i knew a old black guy that had a ole plow mule . he'd take a old winchester 30-30 , ride that mule right up to the deer . some times they'd get up other times they'd just raise their head . old man killed a bunch and he wasn't picky . lol
