Damn I way behind I didn’t know about this page. Me and my youngin are after one. He got his practice shot this morning on a doe and missed so I’m hoping he’s got it out of his system and can connect on a buck. We are going to Texas next week hopefully we will have some luck and I can add some points to the board

I’m in Northern NM right now. Nephew got his first kill this morning. A cow elk. Proud doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling haha. Good luck in Texas! Good luck to everyone getting in the woods here soon. I’ll be back next week to get back in the game.

Well gents I'm back thanks to eyedoc and skinny. Somehow my smartphone logged me out and put me on a few day hiatus. Congrats to all the killers. I'm hoping to start hunting in the coming weeks.

Doe down!

Good job doc. Nothing better than the smell of gun powder opening day. We ran up to my camp for a quick afternoon hunt then gonna head back and get ready to go to Texas.

No joy here today. I have 4 mature bucks, just not showing in daylight. Putting in the seat time every day that the wind is right. I figure if they daylight and I'm there, then I have a chance. If I'm somewhere else, no chance.

Back from Texas. It’s been a major ass busting these past few days. I killed a good nine point out there and so did my wife. Came home and threw her stuff out of the trailer and headed north to my camp with just a few hours of sleep. Went to a place that I haven’t seen since we planted back in October and there was a big ten point standing there at 1:45 watching two other bucks fighting with several does in the field he caught me trying to get my gun off my shoulder and I sent one to him. It hit him a little back but was still able to find him. It’s been a very good past three days. I’ll post some pictures later
