It’s packed out today on B side of choccolocco. I have seen more folks this year than I ever have in the past here. Maybe the inflation has a lot of folks out of clubs. The other two wma I hunt some has been bout normal and maybe even little slower than usual far as people. I heard there has been over 90 bucks checked in off choccolocco so far. Not even counting the ones that got slipped out of here. They may have to cut some of these gun days down. What y’all think?

I can agree with YouTube and podcasts to some extent but I really believe the crazy lease prices have driven some to explore public that has been made easier by technology and social media.

I still don’t run across many people but I am hunting public the most people don’t want to mess with.

You tube been out for a while now and so has these hunting apps. The apps are game changers compared to how it was when I was growing up and in my 20s. Just seems to be way more trucks now than in the years past. But there was way more “young guys” looking trucks than older guys. Jacked up with them Democrat wheels on em and stickers on the trucks. Them snap and insta stickers on em. But we seen deer this morning. Just nothing worth dragging.

Good deal. I hunted a spot this morning me and my dad hunted 20 years ago when I was a teenager. Saw a doe.

I’m so sick of hearing about social media is ruining public hunting. How about not internet aerial image scouting and finding the spots that arent obvious and go kill animals. Pressure helps you kill deer if you use it to your advantage.

Why would cutting gun days reduce the # of hunters?

Lower supply and higher demand would probably make it MORE congested.

I attempted one gun hunt at choccolocco back when I was in high school and said never again, that place was too crowded for me and that was 30 years ago before all the YouTube hunters

Not so much the people, I can get away from people. It was more of a question about the deer numbers per say. No biggie

I bet it was 90 deer on an either sex hunts, 90 bucks is a lot. Numbers will be posted on DNR alabama site.
