I have been looking at going somewhere in late December til end of the season possibly with my son who is 12 for a deer hunt and the idea of a hunt swap came to me with a fellow member. I will add we have the best processing and taxidermist within a mile of the farm. I also have a toy hauler I can setup for somewhere to stay or there is local motels within 15 minutes. I have a masters in wildlife and fisheries biology and manage my properties myself. We have an excess of does and see several every sit and usually some small bucks with some shooters around. I have several shooting houses and multiple stands at each location.

When I get my hunting house(2 bedroom 1 bath kitchen living room) remodeled, I plan on letting a few kids with dads or mentor come a year to shoot some doe if it’s possible…

What part of Northeast Alabama are you in?

Farms are on Lookout mountain but Fort Payne is closest town.

Have you got any black bears around? I’m not interested in coming to hunt but think it’s a good idea for good people to trade hunts. We do it all the time. My buddy in Tennessee has great dove hunting and I go with him and he comes duck hunting with me and supposedly coyote hunts while I deer hunt but he’s mostly sipping fireball and watching ducks. He also comes dove hunting with me and we go to Alberta a couple times a year together

Yep bear population coming on strong some areas more than others

I have a friend up past fort Payne and he’s covered up with them and hates them. They wreck all his stuff.
