Thanks SJ
I was torn between 4-5 and i no expert. I thought he was 180-190 pounds last year on some pics and this year he was 204

Think it cool keeping a history on deer - just curious on aldeer input on age. Gross score was 124 - guys scored it for me - wish he would hav done net. Was symetrical - good deer for me - always feel fortunate when i get one

If he's eating out of that feeder all of the time then he's probably gonna be a little heavy for his age class......I'm just guessing though....he may be 5.....Matt will tell us shortly. smile

First two deer look like same deer to me. Not convinced they are the one you shot. That and 13$ will get you a McRib combo.

Knowing exactly where you hunt and having hunted that same area for the past 30 yrs, I can tell you with 98% certainty that if that buck weighed 204, like the processor's scales showed he did, he was at least a 5 yr old at the time of his death. We've aged hundreds of them from that general area. Doesnt matter what you're feeding them, how often or how much, with regard to weight, if they are free-range. Those south bama deer all pretty much fit into the following boxes. Good rule of thumb is the 3's will weigh 145-170. 4s are going to weigh 160-185 with an occasional deer pushing 190. Anything over 200 will be 5+. Congrats on a great buck there Dog! Happy for you buddy.
