Feel sorry for the deer having to carry all that around. He probablynglad to be dead.

This high fence stuff reminds me of women getting boob jobs……It looks good up until a certain point then it just becomes a freak show....I dont get the end goal of all of it.....Why?

Social media and bragging rights is about I can come up with.

I love how this azzwipe gives thanks to Jesus for the opportunity to harvest the freak show.

I seriously doubt Jesus would be happy with the way such a deer is made.

Should thank Jesus for giving him the ambition and drive to earn the type of coin it takes to be able to afford to kill such an animal at a deer farm. $15-$30k in disposable income is nice.

We saw this coming a LONG time ago. But we were told that all hunters just need to get along, respect the situation as just different, blah blah blah.

What these folks can't figure out is that nobody gives a dam about them shooting their livestock. I went to a very nice reputable high fence place here in AL and never would I EVER be proud of anything I killed like that.

On some level I appreciate the fact that it brings people to the sport of hunting that would otherwise never do it.... but the overall scenario leaves me wondering if we even want that.

It doesn’t bother me. If GIVEN the chance I would kill it but I wouldn’t pretend to have accomplished anything. It’s just a deer. I have a hard time understanding why folks get upset about it. It doesn’t change the fact that I can still engage in real hunting…from my shooting house looking at my corn pile.

Getting “upset” and understanding ridiculous actions are totally different things. I don’t understand why some can’t distinguish between the two.

Everything in the hunting “industry” will affect every hunter eventually. We’ve already seen negatives from high fence operations.

I'm betting a 1000+ would get way way above those numbers. $15K is probably a 170-190 range and I'd bet that $30K will get you in the high 200s non-typ. I'm like Matt, I'd much rather kill a mature, free-range, 130 on my own place than to pay to shoot some genetic freak that has been eating steroids and getting protein injections since it was born.

Add me to the not impressed crowd. I'd rather go to Matt's place and kill his 130" 5 year old.

I would shoot him, of course I would also shoot a spike too. I hope alabama never becomes an antler management state like the others.
