Just trying to get some tips on getting a choke tube out. Have tried anything except choke tool and hand. Want to try y’all’s tips and suggestions. I heard something about heat and crayons melted in threads but have to read up on it more. If yall got any suggestions to try I’ll try them out.

I have seen one that this didn't work on, but you can lean the gun in a corner barrel down. Slide a small container of fluid flim or pb blaster under the end to submerge it.

Usually PB Blaster or Kroil immersion for 24 hours does the trick. I have also used a heat gun to let the oil penetrate. I failed to get one out last year and had to call the man.

A friend had one that was rusted. I soaked it in oil for several days. I would try a wrench on it every few days and it finally came loose.

I’ve gotten two out by soaking them in PB blaster. Barrel down with the threads covered. One was extended and I put a pipe wrench on it. The other took a little cheater leverage on the tube wrench.

All good advice soaking is the way to go. I used a pill bottle. If the gun is dipped or wrapped it may take some of the material off or fade it. Make sure the tool fits good.
