Me and the wife didn't have a honeymoon( I was in South Carolina for a week fishing a big tournament the day after the wedding) and we both like to hunt. She brought up the idea of going somewhere on a guided or semi guided hunt for both of us. I don't know that I'd be willing to spend the money it would take to go and I wouldn't want to take her in public land. Seems like the going rate is around 4 grand per person for 4 days. Anyone comments on this would be appreciated

We will burn that bridge when we get there

Not sure if you’re looking for a trophy hunt or just a deer hunt. Lots of ranches in Texas offer quality doe/management buck hunts at reasonable prices. You might could look into that. And if it’s in the right location you may have the option of those fine eating Axis.
