Set up on a small ridge on the edge of thick undergrowth. There's a dry slough bed that opens up about 75 yards wide, on the other side are hardwoods mixed in with thicker undergrowth. Normally saddle hunt in here because the trees are either 6 foot around or 8-10 inches but I forgot my backpack so climbed one off the few trees my climber would work on. 10 year old pines border this area on the backside. Cold northern wind blowing in here, deer should be on their feet. Stay safe and good luck.

Saw one moving through the thick stuff at 9:15. Big bodied deer only caught a glimpse of its head saw white but not sure if it was horns or an ear. Back at it in the morning somewhere.
