That’s right, put the Cherokee sneak on ‘em and they’ll never know you were in there.

Yessir! I’m always gonna shoot what makes me happy and I want everyone else to do the same! If you shoot one be proud of it and don’t worry what anyone else thinks. - SJ22

Yeah , some folks damn sure call the law if you a city limits . Plus you got to be 100 yards away from any buildings too shoot and the deer got to be a 100 yards away from a building when you shoot it.

Not quite. You can't hunt within 100 yards of a "dwelling" without permission. So a barn, shed, etc doesn't count for the 100 yard rule. And you can't strike a building used for human occupation with a bullet from any distance. The deer you shoot at can be closer than 100 yards to a building as long as your bullet doesn't hit it. Obviously use common sense and safety here but that is the rule. Here is the text:

"It is illegal to...Hunt within 100 yards of any dwelling without the permission of the owner or lessee or discharge a firearm while hunting so that any projectile strikes any dwelling or building used for human occupation, or any commercial vessel, without the permission of the owner or lessee."

I hunt something similar in my back yard.

I use a 350 legend with subsonics when I’m not using my bow since I know my one of my neighbors is sensitive about it (she texts me about “all the baby deer” when she sees me walking back there to hunt), and I’m aware on how far a ricochet will go. My wife doesn’t hear any of the shots from 300yds away in the house and I get about 50-60yd range, which is all I need in the spot I’m hunting. I think we’re up to a dozen with it now and haven’t had any penetration issues with bullet performance. You may want to look at something similar. Growing up, people used buckshot for similar set ups but I don’t like the idea of 9-18 pellets bouncing through the woods as much as one slow bullet.
