It will be on the north side of Selma. Not only is South of Selma basically all of Cahawba its also a low large flood delta. The North side is more geologically manageable. Also the bridge crossing areas with the ACOE are totally owned. South of 80 the good crossing approach areas are not Federally claimed yet, and they are bigger and more of them. The biggest expenses with interstates are bridges and exits. Even a short 50 foot bridge requires a lot of extra engineering and money.

If they went through the land I hunt on, which as I said is one of the proposed routes, they would have to build one long bridge and ruin some good wetland environment. Probably end up fighting The Nature Conservancy and Ducks unlimited as well as myself.



I hope they don’t decide to go through your property. But if they do and it’s funded, it will be a very difficult battle for y’all unfortunately.
