I’m thinking about getting back into trapping. Is there much work trapping on deer leases or animal damage control. Is there anyone who know about what you should charge for a week of trapping? I’m trying to see if there’s enough work to justify to get started.

I’ve found that deer are hard to trap. And I’ve tried a lot of different ways.

Deer are easy, just get you a closed top drop door hog trap and fill it with corn. Especially the small 4x8 models.

"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Don't do it during deer season we had a trapper walk thru our lease right at dark with no orange and shook a young hunter up pretty bad.

Depends on the area. Most people in south west Alabama want you to work for free or dirt cheap. Once you get in the black belt there’s a market for it if you can get in with the right private landowners. I trap because I enjoy it but honestly I’ve probably spent more money than I’ve made doing it. 😂
