What is being said, use this huge effort you are making to paint the whole state as a problem and try to get something done in the areas of concern. You have a valid concern but the concern you have has nothing to do with certain areas of the state. I’ve said over and over that some areas are affected and some arent……Don’t know how you take that to mean otherwise…….The areas that arent effected probably represent about 1/3 of the counties……with 2/3 being impacted……Monroe Co is in the 1/3…..noted. Perfect!! Now I completely understand what you mean but when you post your graphs you are saying a majority of the state is killing way more than before and that could be an issue and that OOS hunters are the problem. Now that I know we won’t be affected by you begging for more restrictions, I’ll fight tooth and nail to help you win this fight. Thank you for you passion!!

So if we start enforcing the 3 buck limit with tags…..Do we just need to exclude Monroe Co hunters??....How does that work??.....Maybe make GC optional for you guys too??

I said it before that I’d be good with a 2 buck limit but I’m just one person and might be the only one that would be in favor of it. I would also be in favor of a reasonable limit on does. However I like the long seasons because it gives me more time in the woods. Also I could do without the February extension but that’s something I can fix myself. I always head home at the end of January. More times then not everything has shut down by then. But I wouldn’t even think about wanted to take those days from the areas that have the early February rut.

I agree that something needs to change in my area and I think a doe restriction of some sort would be a big help. Also, I wouldn't mind taking out some of gun season in December.

We had the split a few years ago for the first 10 days in December. Didn’t make much difference to us. We always hunted opening weekend and thanksgiving weekend and would pretty much shut it down till mid to late December.

I said it before that I’d be good with a 2 buck limit but I’m just one person and might be the only one that would be in favor of it. It doesnt matter if you make it 1 if you don’t have any means of enforcing it……Until we show we can enforce the 3 buck limit we already have and see what kind of a difference that makes then there’s no need to even begin to consider a limit of 2……This is why I anticipate that tags are in the near future….. You know dealing with out of state hunters shouldn’t really be all that hard now that I think about it……All you gotta do is keep raising the cost of the non-resident license until you get the number of non-residents back to what you want…..the ones left who are willing to pay $700 per year or whatever it may be…Can't let these coveted spots go for nothing you know........Maybe you could make an exception for non-resident landowners....

This is true but ask Mississippi about getting stupid with the prices for Louisiana hunters hunting there. Louisiana more then doubled the price of our of state fishing and hunting licenses on them. This was years ago. Didn’t take them long to back track that idea when they found out how many people from Mississippi hunt and fish in Louisiana. $700 would definitely get rid of me. Heck if we find the right place in or around Sonora Texas, we gone!! Only a $307 license and they have axis.

There should be a box to check when you purchase your liscense marked "Trophy Hunter". If you check that box, your liscense is 50% off. Because you aren't going to be killing as many deer as the meat hunters and, you have to deal with the mental anguish of see all of the dead 2 yr old 8 points on social media.

He said I looked at that neighbor one day and said “If it’s got a basket, he’s ready for the casket.” I just shook my head.
