Not a pilot. I spent 15 years below wing and 25 above wing. Flying is very safe until you start playing with low cost foreign carriers. They don’t have the rules that the FAA requires. Yes some of these carriers do fly to the US. Me personally I fly Delta. American and United. My nephew was a flight engineer in the Air Force and now works for Lockheed-Martin maintaining two large test planes. I prefer Delta, American then United in that order!
