Hunters are HAMMERING corn in my neck of the woods (Shelby Co). I stopped at 2-3 places to pick some up to feed the deer behind the house and everyone is saying they can’t keep it in stock.

Baffles me that most folks can’t kill a deer without corn. It’s all over our damn club and all that’s Ben killed are does and one big 8. He was killed in a cutover not near any corn.

Ive put out 2 tons i guess. Will buy another 1000lbs soon. How long have they been selling deer feeders? Its not like feeding deer corn is anything new. Might be going on more now but its been going on for quite a long time, thirty five years that i know of for sure

We have designated places we feed and I love it. It keeps the other guys away from the places I like to hunt. It’s a win win for me.

It’s being used big time. I hunted a spot yesterday that I haven’t even driven through this year. No sign at all in that area due to no corn. All the roads leading to the feeding areas were eat slap up with sign.

It be's that way sometimes.

I’ve sold over 2000 bushels to hunters this winter. This is probably about 4 times what I normally sell.

I agree!! However a ton of people would still do it just like they’ve were doing it before it was permitted. And they sure won’t stop at a 3 buck limit.

Corn does little for deer unfortunately, but more for some hunters. Just tough to buy other grains for deer at a decent price. Habitat management would be better and more beneficial. Natural vegetation like honeysuckle, briers, and even the hated kudzu have more protein. Most of this vegetation just don't make it as pines grow or are sprayed with chemicals. A year round variety of food is what we need. Deer don't eat pine needles or tree bark.
