I don't think those still exist Truth...last I checked, shoulder mounts are like $750-1000 these days. I only have one shoulder mount, that I had done in 2014, but I think I paid like $350 for it. That guy doesn't do taxidermy anymore, though, after he got hammered on a bunch of felony poaching violations in WY a few years ago. My deer still looks good, though

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

Guy here does solid work for $550 - but many are $700 and up
Got another guy to do my recent skull. My skull mount a got back in a freaking days time was $75 and nice - this same guy does $375 mounts but i can vouch for that - but his $75 dollar skull with a day turn around is as good as any i seen
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Most of the bucks I kill get a European from Cuz Pat on here. Patton’s European mounts. I have one shoulder mount done within the past 5 years and Joel Stone did it. With both types of mounts, I pay what it costs and don’t bat an eye. You get what you pay for with taxidermy Joel was the best. He retired after many years of it. Talked to him the other day and he is enjoying retirement.

Does anyone know if Joel's son does a good job? I think I heard he took over the business part time. I have three shoulder mounts from Joel and he did an excellent job.

I couldn’t say I’ve seen his exact work but I know he worked with his dad for many years so I’m guessing he does as good as his dad. To the op, when it comes to taxidermy, here’s a general rule which also applies to most things in life. There’s good, cheap, and fast. You can pick two but never all three.

From what I understand he is doing some deer heads.part time because he has a full time job. He is not working out of Joel's old shop.
