Just curious of peoples experiences with quartering shots? Any negatives? I may try the Sevr's next year on whitetail, haven't decided since there's really nothing wrong with my fixed heads.
Those big holes make ya think though.

Three quartering exits with Megameats. Don’t have a pic of a fourth, but the exit leg bone was completely snapped in two.

I like the megameat far better. I used sevr and was not a fan. Switched to megameat and never looked back, have shot quartering shots with them as well and they worked perfectly. The problem with the design like sevr where the blades fold in to avoid bone is some times they don’t redeploy.

I just read a review and the guy stated they opened when pushed into the quiver and the ferrule length. I've got a few I've checked out. The deadmeat head on my list with the 1.5" cut since I'll be whitetail hunting with my 60# bow unless I rig up my 3rd bow at 65#. My 70# was tough with temps in the teens after sitting for hours.

Any issues with megameats not opening? I read some comments but I think it was a different blade retention system then.

They make some ridiculous wounds. One thing I will say is that you will not get two shots from a single head. Replace blades and carry on.

Watch Lusky Archery Adventures broadhead test, I swapped to Sevr 1.75 after watching his review of several broadheads and I really am impressed. Also Sevr heads pivot, not close and then re-open when contacting bone.

The review I read earlier was complaing about them opening in the quiver and then being locked open. I know they are destructive on animals

Never had an issue with the megameat not opening. I like the snap lock collar retention system. I agree with using the deadmeat on the lighter set up. I used them before the megameat and still use them with my lighter bow, they work great as well. But like stated by booner though you’ll need to replace the blades after each deer. Small price to pay though.

I shoot the Rage Hypodermic no collar. I’ve had zero issues. Shot two hogs yesterday and neither of them made it 40yds.

Nice. Walmart has a couple packs at $15 ea. here. I grabbed a couple packs of Megameats. Gotta trade for some deadmeats or buy the blade kids to get the 1.5" cut
