I typically shoot a modified when I’m hunting. Been toying with the idea of going with an over under and just have a first and second shot option. Was trying to get a feel of most shoot factory or aftermarket. So many different options out there ported/ non, flush/ extended, wad stripping/ not. Not sure if it’s marketing strategy or makes a difference. When I hunted with an O/U I had two patten master originals. Bird hunting I used IC and Mod One thing I noticed is in shot fewer shells and killed about the same number of ducks. I just didn’t rush shots like I did with 3 shells.

Yea I typically find myself just shooting the third because it’s there. Sometimes it pays off but mostly not.

I have a Rob Roberts T2 and T3. I use #2 or #4 shot depending on the conditions of where I'm hunting.

I use a kicks high flyer mod out of an 870. Allegedly the actual constriction is closer to a stock improved cylinder. Something you may want to look at is the actual constriction vs what they claim the choke to be.
