I have been seeing a lot of 200 pound deer protein tubs hit the market lately. They cost a little more than I'm willing to spend in order to keep one out year round in a couple of spots. Cattle protein tubs that contain the equivalent protein can be bought for half the price or less. Some of those deer tubs look like you're getting a lot of corn in them. I'm wondering if anyone here has tried the cattle protein tubs? If so, what was your experience? Did the deer come to them? Thanks.

Someone way smarter then me may correct me but I thought at one time there was something in the cattle tubs that wasn’t healthy for deer. I could e wrong and thinking of something else. But I think that’s what was said.

I bought one from tractor supply to keep the hogs around after deer season last year. Hogs haven’t even eaten it. One I got was around 60.00 for 200lb blue tub. I’ve rolled them over to the side of the field and turned them sideways and I thought certainly the hogs would tear it up, nope.
Everything woke turns to shucks
