If your deer have horns, you really have got something.
83% of all statistics are made up.

This has been studied in Texas. You will not see any effects just feeding during hunting season.
For this type of feeding program to have a small effect on your deer, you must feed year round and do it for at least 5 years. IE, the deer that will show the benefit will be third generation after the program is implemented.

I try to plant quality plots. I keep a corn feeder out during the off season. Put a minimal amount of corn out at 12 noon. This keeps the deer close during antler growth and fawn season with the hopes of eating the browse I planter. The problem with protein they have to eat so much of it. In an open range situation, virtually impossible. No need to do that in hopes they eat the high protein stuff you plant. It’s been proven deer are selective in their choices of plants. They eat what they need depending on the season and their dietary needs at the time.

When they had soybeans planted, the corn we put out wouldn't get touched while the beans were still standing. No pictures no deer on the corn. Some of the corn actually sprouted.

I’ve had that happen when those big acorns are dropping good too.
