deerhunt1988 OP 4 point D Joined: Jan 2018 Posts: 368 NE Mississippi	Not much for a rack, but man check out that jawbone! Came in hot on a doe's trail. I knew something was odd when a large framed deer had such a small rack. When I got to him and saw the mass I knew he was likely an older buck. Scars all over, split ears, hardly a lick of fat on him. Total acorn crop failure in these parts has caused for a tough season.

Biologist had to make a call to inquire. Old Auburn study, the buck was 9 years old. Amazing these critters can be that elusive and smart on public land. You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?
