don't know anyone killing more deer due to corn. Do you? Maybe different deer or different locations, but not more.

The limit is 3 bucks, so it’s hard to kill more.

I didn’t put out a kernel of corn for years summer or winter until the 2022 season. Since then my success has drastically went down. It hasn’t helped me at all. I put out about half the amount of cameras as normal this year. Next year I’m considered quitting feeding cause at this point all it’s done for me is make me more broke than I already was.

Corn only worked when you were the only one in the area doing it. When all your neighbors do it too it loses its effectiveness.

It’s why UA will never dominate football again. When the REC was the only one doling out large amounts of cash, Saban had (significantly) better personnel than 95% of teams he faced. Now NIL has leveled that playing field.

Yes, people that never were able to kill bucks before corn are without a doubt. I don’t really know about does. Bowhunters too are killing more bucks and does because of corn. Lot of kids getting opportunities to kill deer because of feed.

We use more corn than ever and are killing less deer than ever, however this year we have more descent bucks than normal. You might be on to something. The cost has exceeded the benefits and were considering other stratagies for next year

I don't doubt that in certain situations it's helpful to see deer. I just don't know anybody killing more because of it. I feel like most people have a self-imposed cap and that cap was already fairly attainable.

It will certainly improve deer sightings. Our deer sightings went up drastically. One thing i saw was that too many does in a field will cause the bucks to not come in the field. So, having a bunch of deer dont necessarily mean youre gona see the one you want to kiil. That was our situation a couple years ago. Now, our total deer population is down so coons and squirrels are eating the corn

I didnt get that tame strand of deer yall speak of. I camt even get mine use to a gravity feeder in a few years time 🤣🤣😀

I hav killed one amd hav several mature - i doubt i make it to 3 and my 2 best spots the pressure is down. Heck - i dont show a good wind on either of those spots for a while. I will prob hav a down year next year even if most survive. I usually get good and bad - but usually more bad years to average than good years. Glad to hav a great year now - be happier if i could get a good wind on one of my best spots. I got darkie neighbors that will shoot em over a corn pile at night under a street light in the back yard regardless if corn legal or not 😀

I e found it takes about 3-4 years to get mature bucks to eat under a spinner feeder if they have never been on them before. 4 years ago you couldn’t put mature bucks to get close to them. Now they lick the spinner to get more corn out. Just got to commit to them if you wanna use them. We committed to them because the does were eating so much corn out of trough feeders. We had to slow em down a little bit.

Not just the brothers, haha. Night hunting, out of season, road hunting and all races, creeds, etc.

I'll tell you what corn has done for my buddies and I on different leases or private lands that we hunt separately. We don't shoot does within a month of rut coming in and leave those hoes alone. We get groups of does coming in every day to the corn pile. Same does, using the same trails. We don't bother them. When rut comes in, those same does walk to the feed and guess who they bring to breakfast/dinner? Yep, they boooyyyfrennnds! And if a big cruising buck is around, he is 100% going to walk through the corn pile on a scent trail. Whether we are there when the traveler comes through or not is a different story. This year, I happened to be sitting a little later in the stand than I normally do. At 10:07 am, I shot a 120" 8 pt (185 lbs.) scent trailing and checking the feed area. He had never been on camera all season.

I know quite a few people who couldn't kill a deer if you tied it to a tree for them, who suddenly started killing a bunch.

Especially speaking of bow hunters.

The total number of deer killed on our place has not changed at all with corn. What it has done for us is allowed us to kill does in areas we normally couldn’t keeping our better buck areas free of pressure.

If you were an even average deer hunter and tools like bait and cameras don’t make it even better , that’s hard to explain.
