Anyone ever tried to break a fairly fresh deer antler to see how hard they are to break? I'd have to think they are pretty damn tough to snap. By this time of year most every buck around my place has a broken rack I'd love to see the fight they'd have to have to break them
We will burn that bridge when we get there

We get a lot of broken racks on our lease late in the Season as well.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I found one a couple years ago on our place that appeared to have a piece of the scull still attached to it. That chit had to hurt!!
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

I have had the pleasure of watching a few fights with reasonably mature bucks (3+ yr olds) - videos do not do them justice. They are amazingly violent - I am surprised they have any headgear at all afterwards.
The best I have ever seen was actually 3-bucks all fighting each other (2-eights and a 5-point). I do not think I am exaggerating to say they went at it for the better part of 45-minutes or more. There was a pretty nice 8 in the mix that I was wanting to shoot, but I just admired the show. They fought so long that I could hear them panting. What I wouldn't have given for an IPhone to record the action.

Find a dead deer on the side of the road and try to stomp on them and kick them off, you'll see how hard them dudes are This.

Deer are amazingly strong. I found out the hard way at 13 years old. I spined one and paralyzed just his back end when he went down. He was still alive so I go out there and try to slit his throat and get it over with. I had a baggy shirt on and when I grabbed his horns to cut him he got his rack into the base of my shirt. His tossed his head from side to side and body slammed me like I’ve never been body slammed before. backed out and came out of my shirt with a quickness. Left it on his rack. Never have I been tossed like that to this day except in a car wreck.
The strength he still had paralyzed was unreal.

I doubt it killed one this year that had main beams like a shovel handle and I figured he was the one kicking everyone's ass. Havent seen or had anything on camera over 2 years old that wasn't broke since just after christmas
