I know mine set me back about $400 8 years ago but they are high now.

I had one for the last ice storm we had. No power for 10 days and no water for 2 weeks! It was a life saver. I love the big Predator with electric start. Start it every month and hook a fan up to it, for exercising it. Only use non-ethanol for it. Put fuel saver in too. I like being able to cut the fuel off and let the carb run out. Always unplug everything before doing that. Not good to have the generator run out of fuel, with stuff pulling juice from it.

I just bought the predator 6500 this morning at harbor freight on University Drive for $660 after tax. They were sold out of the 4350 watt and the man behind me bought the last 6500. Employee said they ordered an extra truck just for generators and they sold out fast. Rural King had Champion brand but they looked cheap made. I bought a new predator side shaft engine last year for my garden tiller and I love it.

How quiet are these generators relative to the normal generators HD and Lowes sells?

I bought one over a year ago. It stays on the back of my work truck. I didn’t realize how much I would use one until I got this one. If you keep good gas in it, it’ll crank every time. I like it.
