Started two fields in the fall to give them some year round forage. Do I need to add some 0-20-20 or similar now or wait until spring ? Thanks for any replies.

That’s an annual mix right? I don’t think timing matters all that much with 0-20-20. The P and K will be there when it’s needed.

What were the P and K levels pre-plant ? Neither are very mobile in the soil and may offer limited availability short term on top dress applications. I'd look into a liquid program, you have several options: Clark's which is based in AL, Grandpa Ray's Outdoors and Biologic. I think the Biologic liquid is formulated by the folk's at Clark's but I'm not 100% sure on that. There are others I'm sure but these are the one's I'm familiar with.

Clover Feast is an Annual and will work through about May/June depending on weather. Perrenial plus is the yr round version from WMS
on the 0-20-20 we usually apply in the fall or just before green up , late feb - mid march.

Let those clover fields get weedy and leave them alone for brood habitat or follow with WMS pea patch in June. Good play either way.

It’s a good mix. Unfortunately, July/August in the Deep South is hard on everything except ragweed, cowpeas and kudzu.

yep, its a great mix. We use it every year but you will need something added to get you through the summer months. I've mixed the two with success.

I like whitetail clover myself. The summer is rough but it usually bounces back with some rain.

I've had great success with Cloverfeast in 2 plots that hold a lot of moisture and water, but they play out by early summer. Think they added a perennial clover to the new mix, but I still wouldn't plant as a perennial food plot.
