Did you find a 25% off coupon? Thinking I need one too with this freezing rain coming. Nope. I asked one of the guys working there where I could get one…. They said the only folks with those coupons are the ones who haven’t shopped there in a long time. I reckon the stars just aligned for Engine5. Glad for him too.

I know mine set me back about $400 8 years ago but they are high now.

I know mine set me back about $400 8 years ago but they are high now. I had one for the last ice storm we had. No power for 10 days and no water for 2 weeks! It was a life saver. I love the big Predator with electric start. Start it every month and hook a fan up to it, for exercising it. Only use non-ethanol for it. Put fuel saver in too. I like being able to cut the fuel off and let the carb run out. Always unplug everything before doing that. Not good to have the generator run out of fuel, with stuff pulling juice from it.

Well, I’m the proud new owner of a PREDATOR 5000 Watt Dual-Fuel SUPER QUIET Inverter Generator with Remote Start and CO SECURE Technology.
Thanks for all the input related to these things. Hopefully I won’t need it this weekend, but if I do I’ll be ready. Congratulations you’ll love it.

If you don't mind me asking, what did that set you back? $1,100 + tax. If we lose power and the roads are impassable, that will be money well spent.

How quiet are these generators relative to the normal generators HD and Lowes sells?
