Went to Perdido WMA for the 4th day in a row. Still haven’t seen a deer. Don’t know why I even come here at this point. Would be better off just driving 2 1/2 hours to red hills.

Literally hit send on that post and the ugliest cowhorn spike came walking by. Gonna let him go. Don’t feel like messing with him a mile in here

I’ve seen 8-9 2 bucks and several does Let the biggest deer I’ve ever let go this morning. Had pics of him last night and he was on a ridge at 150yards with a doe this am. Solid 15” 8 point. Wish my daughter was with me. I’ve come to the realization that I hunt like a bass. If that joker will stand there and let me look at him I’ll usually pass, but if he comes flying by me in a flash he’s toast.

I’m here on top of this ridge watching a gap in a bluff.
Had one button buck come through feeding so far.
Not as cold feeling as I expected it was going to be, Going to sit till 1:30 or 2.
These heated socks I got for Christmas are doing some work sitting here this morning
Good luck fellas!

It’s a convenience thing I reckon…delta is an option, but it’s just as crowded and a boat is a necessity, Lillian swamp is covered in corn piles, splinter hill is an hour and 15 minutes drive, red hills is 2 1/2 hour drive, and deer clubs/leases in Baldwin are way too rich with way to many rules. On any given weekend there are more hunters than deer, but if you’re willing to get in here a mile or more things get better, barely.
