I saw 12 deer last evening on a food plot with a spin feeder on it, 8 does and 4 bucks...in daylight. They were hammering the brassicas, some of them never even made it to the corn. Cold weather gets the deer craving the sugars in the brassicas. I've always found brassicas are the bomb right after big freezing cold front. Every deer around will absolutely hammer them. Supposedly the cold lowers the starches in them and they taste better but who knows. The bulbs are really sugar and nutrient rich which is why you see the deer up north pawing through the snow to dig the bulbs out.

wish we never started feeding Well stop!! It’s not that hard to figure out. If the corn has ruined yalls hunting, stop putting it out. It's not their corn that's messing them up, it's yours and mine, haven't you been following along? My apologies!!! My short term memory must be fading again.

Just start mixing pre workout in your corn and it's easy to get them killed then
We will burn that bridge when we get there

A deer is nothing but a goat with extreme athletic ability and highly nocturnal tendencies. That is all I’ve said for about 30 years You ever ate a goat?

Yes a dude at work used to cook it, not bad if done right. A place in N Bham used to sell a 20 or 50 lb pack of meat for cheap and it was mostly goat and very little beef.

Anybody said big bucks won't eat corn in the daylight yet? That's always thrown in to these discussions And that's also BS. I think these deer are getting conditioned to feeders from an early age now. I've got plenty of mature bucks at feeders and quite a few in daylight.

Can some one please post the percentage of bucks and does killed this year so we can see if this is statically correct? Not accurate, gaurantee.

myself and my friend have been hunting the same 1100 areas in middle Alabama for 20 years. When feeding deer was not legal we would see deer every hunt in our flots (green fields) feeding became legal about 10 to 12 years ago. We have noticed that our spotting of deer in our field have fell off substantially. we still have a lot of deer we see on cameras but not in our fields. They will eat tons of corn every year. I remember reading an article written by a biologist and he said that in 10 to 15 years that to see a deer in the daylight will be rarity because of the feeding. That is coming to be a reality. Also we see that the quality of bucks we harvest do not have the racks that they used to have. Just an observation. You being funny, right?
