Rep. Buddy Carter introduced the Abolish IRS and Income Tax bill this morning. If any part of it gets through, its better than where we are at right now. I really am hopeful that some of it will get passed. https://x.com/IanJaeger29/status/1877543054799786444

I would be willing to bet, if you take away the money the politicians steal, the money being sent to other countries we get absolutely no benefit from, and money spent funding sin and abominations here in our country most Americans would absolutely be opposed to, and spend our tax money instead on the services it was meant and advertised to be spent on, income tax would not be needed, likely the services would be better, pretty sure it all could be paid for on the current sales tax. If tarrifs were added that are fair, considering the particular circumstances, i believe the govt services we legitamitely need and use would be improved dramatically. I dont know about doing away with the IRS, our country needs some sort of accounting service but it could absolutely be streamlined down to probably 10% of what it currently is.

Congress says they need many months just to make Trump tax cuts permanent!!
Can you imagine how long it would take for them to abolish IRS and then vote a new system in??
Never happen!!

Yep
All those tax credits need to go too. There’s a way to make it work so it’ll be hard to scam which takes the politicians incentives away. Trump’s team can solve it if allowed to

The first thing DOGE should do is immediately cut every single outflow of every dollar from the Federal government, total monetary bank freeze, globally. All of it, including the EBT and welfare and Medicare/Medicaid, DoD money, federal checks, FDIC, T-bills, all of it. Then you will be able to easily see who is on the take. Keep it totally frozen with an indefinite time limit. Within two days, the global public will figure out who the genuine assholes are.

Doing that would also show just how broke Microsoft and Google actually are. Because the bulk of their money is government money from all around the World, which is all US dollars.

I don’t know what the answer is but none of the scenarios above sound like they would work. I do like the idea of a flat tax. A flat tax is still inflation dependent and creates a pool of money for politicians to play with. If you think the politicians wont inflate the pool of money, well then reality and you have a problem.

Tax me on what I spend. Not what I earn. It’s actually none of the federal government’s business on how much money you make. Show me where it says that in the constitution. It’s their way to further divide us by class warfare.
