Probably a question for someone like Matt brock. But sitting here in my man room looking at my euro mounts and some of the deer have a single hole one each side in there upper nose near there eyes others have up to 4. Is there any known reason for this? Doesn't seem to be based on age as far as I can tell. Just appears to be random?

Deer have a few different scent glands on them . Feet , legs and head I remember right
