If you're buying new , under about 65 HP , I'd go with Kubota. However, my cousin who lives near me has a 30 ish HP Mahindra I borrowed back in the fall , I was impressed. Loader was very smooth operating and that thing was very quiet and barely used any fuel. Used I'd look pre def, pre regen, pre computer , JDs. 4X4 and FEL of course.

I have 2 100 acre tracts and my 38 hp kubota does just fine. Would I like a larger yes, but I don't need it. FEL is a must and I have to say that HST is mighty nice to have. What are yall doing to your tractors that you have to take the damn thing back to the dealer. I change my own fluids and I guess I'm lucky to only have sensors go out that I fixed. If you can find a mid to late nineties JD that's in good shape get it. I have a 94 1070 and nothing ever went wrong with it. Those models are bulletproof

50 to 70 HP. Bucket is pretty much useless without 4WD. Shuttle shift is nice too. I like open station tractors (no cab) too for general farm maintenance.
