Any of you had experience with turkey hunting unit 5 & 6 at Uchee? I imagine they are decent units, but just curious if anyone had a story or two from the unit?

Sorry to piggyback on your thread, but

Uchee units 1 & 2: Anyone have any turkey insight/info on those units? Hit me up with a PM if you need to.

It does not look you caused much damage. Either no one has been before, or it is good enough to keep quiet wink

I'll be hunting 11 this weekend. If I give you my cell cams would you stick them out on the plots on 6 and I'll just leave them in there till we come back in April? grin

You got it! If any of you fellas want to get together one night this weekend, I live in Auburn and we can go grab some food or something.

I saw a pile of birds in unit 1 when we deer hunted it two years ago. Good sized pines on the ridges & big open swamp on the south end. I would imagine finding a bird wouldn't be too difficult. I'd be standing at the small greenfield up on the ridge above the swamp at daylight & go to him when he gobbles.

Good to know, thank you.

I’ve been wondering if that swamp (southern portion of units 1 & 2) had an ‘huntable’ open understory, or if it is thick as hell. Hard to tell just looking at aerials.

It’s wide open.
