Long story My paw paw ray was a firefighter in Montgomery and he died in the line of duty when I was a little feller. We never got to hunt together but there's nothing more in this world I'd want than to spend an afternoon in a stand with him. This year at Thanksgiving my Uncle Jimbo Ray brought me my pawpaws rifle and I couldn't have been happier if someone gave me a brick of gold. Uncle Jimbo taught me a lot about deer hunting and more about what it took to be a man. He could be tough on you but a lot of times that's what we need. I made it a mission to kill a racked buck with it and I didn't think there would be a more fitting place to do it than on paw paw Beadlescomb land in billingsley. I practiced enough with those iron sights to feel comfortable being able to put a good clean shot on a deer with that rifle. It all came together this morning at 8am. I've killed a a lot of deer and some pretty big deer in my life but I don't know that any of them will ever mean as much to me as this little 7 point does. I'd like to say I was tough and didn't get emotional after the shot but that would be a lie. I couldn't help but feel my grandpa's were looking down on me with pride. That's what huntings really all about to me good times with friends and good memories
We will burn that bridge when we get there

Great story. I hunted more times than I could ever count with my grandpa. First year he didn’t go hunting he passed the next spring. That was April 23,2016. He was almost 92. I miss that man all the time and especially when I get in the woods. Congratulations and enjoy that gun and what it means to you!!
Don't blame me for your bad decision-
