What is the best flooring for an all purpose workshed?. One of the pre-fab barn style sheds you can buy most anywhere? This shed is mostly for her and I will use it as required.
This shed floor will have to breathe, be able to take a lick, and be functional for household projects but look good enough for the boss lady to do projects in too. Those sheds sit on blocks, so air will be under it. I got one that is used for storage and the floors in it are not as tight as I would like. So sealing up the joints is required. This shed will have window unit ac and ceiling fans, heat will be as needed with portables.
So what flooring will work best and be reasonably affordable and fast to install?

That looks about like what I had in mind and the roll stuff patterns are probably something she will be satisfied with picking from.

Snap together vinyl tile it comes in various sizes 12" x 24" is common. Easy and fast to lay. Holds up well.

If my wife see's that high end snap together stuff I'm gonna ban somebody around here. She loves to see me fight with crap like that.

Tile on a that kind of shed floor wont work for long. Those pre-builts do flex enough over time to pop the floor tiles. Everything I have read says dont do it. Plus if you bump them too hard with a lawn mower or bigger vehicle you will break something. It sucks if you bump them off level, after being good anchored on set locked on hard blocks and then you have to get it back on level with just car jacks.

I'd just go with the Vinyl. Give em the measurements and have em cut and lay her down! Not sure on your width, ya might have to have another piece, but you can handle it 😁 It's what i have all through my little shack at camp and it's fine, hell it's 13 years old and folks still thinks its real wood at first glance lol. Now my little lofted barn at home is half carpet and the other is some kinda "more expensive" flooring i paid for at the time, which don't seem bad now, cause this building at home has tripled in price (along with my carports here and at camp) in the last five years 😳
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!
