Just got a Polaris 1000 ranger with a winch and front/back windshields. What other accessories would you get? Which gun rack? Etc? Will use for both riding around the house and hunting etc. Not doing much trail riding nor mudbogging etc

We use ours in the neighborhood as much as I do at the club.

You can get as crazy as you want, but I would add:

1. Soundbar/Speakers
2. Light Bar
3. Lift Kit/Wheels of you want more ground clearance
4. Back up lights. Trust me, it helps.
5. Mirrors

back up lights and possibly some floods for the side. the reflections inside the cab at night (mine is fully inclosed ) will hide trees, limbs, stumps, ditches etc… i’ve found a few of all of them.

radio and sound bar towards the back of the roof so u don’t have to play it so loud to hear it.

they make a plate that goes across the front of the bed to mount a small winch to for loading deer, it’s a back saver. bow’d up i think is the name of it.

Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........

S3 spring kit will make it ride a lot better plus give you a couple inches of lift.

The gun holder/mount is tricky. The one that goes behind the rear windshield and holds 2 guns is not a good idea. Those cases are going to get covered in mud. The foam one that holds 2 guns In between driver and passenger also sucks.. I have that now and the buttstocks hit the bar behind the seat and rifles won’t fit correctly. I honesty don’t know which one is best.

A rear light bar is a cheap accessory that will save you a lot of frustration.

If your ranger is new, wiring up accessories is a breeze. They got rid of the old busbar and it’s plug and play. If you order the wiring kit off of Amazon, read the reviews first. The rocker switches provide don’t always fit.

Side mirrors are nice but I recommend spending a little money on those because you kinda get what you pay for.

I could go on and on but I’ll stop there for now

Burbank, I like those suggestions. Does your rear view light turn off when going? I’ve seen that as a complaint due to a relay issue etc.

Extreme keep em coming! Thank y’all!

Sport Accessory Bar

I have one of these on my Uforce with the shelf. If I have my 45 gallon sprayer in the back I can carry extra chemicals, water or a cooler on the shelf. I also have a hose reel mounted on the drivers side that connects to sprayer. They make tool holders etc that will mount on the side panels.

Edit: realized I linked the one for the general and not a ranger but same concept.

Yea, that relay solves that issue. On in reverse. Off I any other gear. No faint glow or power to them.

Search on eBay for your model. Mine is a 22 model. I bet it’s the same plug.

The plug is in the back above the muffler.

x2 on the loading winch. Incredible how quick and easy it is to get a deer up

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y5J21GP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Seizmik ICOS2 UTV Gun Holder | Universal In Cab On Seat Gun Mount | Holds Four Firearms | Compatible with Polaris, Can Am, Kawasaki, and More UTV Side by Sides

Defroster - you will need something for cool mornings, yep it will fog up quickly, mine is garage kept

Rather than a rear winch, I went with a foldup cargo mount that fits in the receiver hitch

I went with just a rear view mirror, not side mirrors

Fender flares and mud guards

Google that gun mount. It’s great, but you can find it cheaper. Try eBay too.

Light Bar
Gun Rack
Better Tires maybe.
Winch setup for loading deer

I have never needed side mirrors or a backup light myself. Would not be on my list.

I have gotten mine stuck. Never bad enough I couldn't get it out with a come-along or just the cheap harbor freight winch I've got riding up front with 100% certainty. I drive mine through rice fields in Arkansas regularly duck hunting with mud up to the floorboards. Not sure what y'all are doing wrong. Drive everyone out to the pits all the time in knee deep gumbo mud. Ranger Crew. Y'alls machines must not lock the driveline or something.

i didnt need a rear lightbar on my single cab ranger. the glare/reflection from the back glass on a crew makes it damn near impossible to back up with out a rear facing light source.
