North bama is Cullman and north. Central bama is cullman to Montgomery. South bama is the rest. There will be a quiz on Friday.

A buddy lived in Panama City mid 80s until the mid 90s and I member him mentions it snowing a few times but one time was about 1 inch or so.

My wife, girlfriend at the time, father passed away in February of 96. I didn’t make it to the funeral because I had a wedding to shoot. The funeral was on Sunday and was threatened with arrest Saturday night or Sunday morning if I got on 65 unless it was an emergency. I left out mid morning after getting the go ahead. There was snow all the way to Montgomery. As we returned that evening she thought I was lying since it was clear to Birmingham. That all changed when we got to Cullman and they were shutting 65 down again. We made it on but took another 5 hrs from Cullman to get to the shoals. Had to go thru Decatur.

I hunted in Missouri a couple of weeks ago and we drove home through that winter blizzard they had up there. Talk about your butt heating a hole in the seat. I quit counting at 35 wrecks or cars slid off the road. That may be normal up there but it wasn’t normal for this south Alabama boy.

We got caught in the giant blizzard up there in 2018. I saw the same thing driving through St. Louis and they shut the interstate down just before we reached Columbia. Set in the snow all night with the stomach virus. Ole crusty truck driver watched me shucks in the middle of the Interstate. Never forget he got on the CB when asked if that feller was popping a squat in that white truck. He replied " 10-4 looks like a damn octopus exploded" There is a stain there till this day.
