is the game check system they have now not the same concept as a tag system? other than a physical tag on the deer i see a tag system accomplishing nothing more than the current game check system.. both systems make the hunters purchase the license but outlaws will always be outlaws The system we have now is too easy to beat…..Its not even keeping the honest folks honest……Wrapping that bright green tag around its rack…..or not…..is very, very noticeable to everyone……Its not something out of sight, out of mind like game check…….Hunters need three non-resuable bright green tags with their info on it to wrap around the deer’s rack as soon as they recover it……and those who don’t tag it and deer that arent tagged will stick out like a sore thumb……It will help keep the honest guys honest and that’s who is shooting the most “illegal” deer right now. This is just paying the piper for getting to bait……. Where I hunt, the folks hunting illegally will just shoot a deer after dark under their light in the backyard. The process the deer themselves, so your tagging idea will not stop that, and will only create more work for the honest folks. Also, I have been hunting 5 times this year, and have seen at least 2 deer every hunt. Not everywhere is doom and gloom. Maybe the hunters in your area started practicing their shooting?
