I've deer hunted for nearly 20 years and been thinking of hitting a local WMA for hogs. I've got a couple of .270s and a 12 guage. Which weapon is preferred and what other tips can you guys provide to a newbie?

We used to shoot them with a 22lr on corp and wma land outside of gun deer days. If youve got a boat go hit the corp of engineer land at Gainesville and boligee

We will burn that bridge when we get there

What is your goal, meat or killing as many as possible not worrying about recovery?

270 will get the job done. I like 150 grains and a soft nose bullet. Neck shots will do the trick. Vitals are farther forward behind the shoulder than a deer.
