Guess no one else is hunting this morning? I was headed to get in the stand until my wife's friend hit a doe and I had to go finish it off. Headed down to autauga county to change camera batteries and do a mid day hunt. They've been moving midday down here but I have 0 confidence in it

I just got out. Changing up the batting order! Taking out the 308 for the first time this year and hunting mid day for first time. 270 was not getting it done on ever shooting so it can ride that bench for a while😀

My afternoons have been slow but daylight till 12 have been good

I sat for a couple hours just watching activity. Does, Does, and more Does. Probably saw 20. 3 or 4 small bucks. Spike tried to mount 4 or 5 does but he couldn't figure it out. They held still for him but he never made it to the finish line.

I didn’t see a deer this evening but that’s alright. At least figured out where to squirrel hunt. Went to a really small plot that backs up to a hardwood bottom. Brother had a camera in the area and has been seeing a nice 7 hanging around sniffing does. Furthest shot on this spot is about 90 yards so took my 94 Winchester 32 Special. Was hoping I could get one with it today.
