So the limited number of Mr Green Jeans will be spending more time checking for tags instead of catching poachers, trespasser and outlaws.
Great idea.
People who shoot over the bag limit ARE poachers……Those deer are just as illegal as the ones that get shot at night and count just the same…. I cannot even shoot one buck off each of the properties I hunt without going over the yearly limit. A deer I kill in one county has no impact whatsoever to my neighbors of another property two counties over. Never has never will. The buck limit needs to go unless we want to go with a system like the one I laid out. And no one wants to do that. Not even you. Of course it will not matter to a non hunter like yourself anyway. The total number of bucks killed in an area matters…….Your 4th buck counts as one more just the same as any other……If someone joins a club and then picks up an additional 15 acre property somewhere…..do they get to use the club to fill their three and then the small property for bonus bucks??....Those bonus bucks add up and matter to the folks in that area the same way your “one more” does....Totals matter
