If you figure the button bucks were shot for does, then they attempted to shoot about 15 percent more does than bucks, and that is a pretty good recipe for growing better/bigger/older bucks to me.

That’s a non-fixable issue.

True , later in the season, that lone 1 YO doe almost always turns out to be a button buck. They are the quickest age class replaced . A button buck mistake every now and then isn't a big deal.

Let’s say you had 10,000 acres all to yourself. That is not that far fetched. There are properties all over just like that. But according to the game laws you can still only take three deer off of it.

The problem is the “as they see fit” part.

Your issue about having 3 different properties in 3 different parts of the state is not the norm. And you might be responsible enough to hunt and not negatively affect the age structure but the vast majority of people are not. If you feel like more bucks NEED to be removed off those properties then let some others kill them. Same goes for your 10k acre scenario. No one NEEDS to kill more than 3 bucks themselves.

I understand your frustration of not being able to take more than one buck off of each property yourself, but maybe you need to get some different hunting ground. Sublease something out and make some money off it or get creative (within the law) on how you can stay legal and still be a happy hunter.

No one "NEEDS' to go hunting at all.

Since state started requiring kill records the number of 4&5 year old kids killing decent bucks has really went up, I know people who claim 4 year old kids killed a deer that there is no way the kid can even hold a gun up, much less take the recoil of the 270 or 30-06 they claim to have killed it with,Get a couple of kids a conversation ID & they don't worry about limits.

You can’t legislate morality.

You are 100% correct, if people are going to find ways around rules they will no matter what you do.
