Looks like Trumps threat "All hell will break loose if hostages are not released" is causing Hamas to agree to a ceasefire with Israel and is planning to release 30 something hostages. Deal not final but looks like it is goingto be shortly.

Correct, this is a win/meh deal for Israel. The folks they release will have to be installed with beeper bombs under their rib cages, and thats a lot of work. But when they go back their people. Israel can get back to work doing what they are doing now. So, meh.

If they can get the remaining hostages, then Netanyahu will have appeased those within Israel who are opposing this war. That will buy him goodwill with the Israeli people, and with Trump. Then he can finish Hamas and go after Iran. Israel won't sign a bad deal and a ceasefire isn't a permanent peace plan.
