I just picked up 2 Z3 4x12x50 yesterday from Safford Trading company for $775.20 each plus tax. Hard to beat that price!

You can get that Accupoint under $600, just like the other scopes I suggested.

Check out eurooptics in their demo section. I recently purchased 2 Leopoldo vx5. Saved about $400 a piece.

Leupold Freedom is a good line. You can step up in Leupold and spend lots of money…. Vortex Viper series is also good.

Whatever you buy, get a 50mm objective lens - woods hunting means you fight the shadows while it’s still legal shooting light. 50mm helps you with that.

I have a Zeiss V4 3-12x44 and its a great scope all the way around. I do have a VX Freedom 3-9x50 and its pretty darn good for what it is. No problems.

I have a Zeiss Duralyt that is good, a Minox ZX5 3-15x50 that I think is really a Leica thats amazing and believe it or not a Nikon Monarch 3 4-16X50 BDC which is also very good in low light. I do have a Vortex Viper 2-10x44 and its pretty good too.

The Swarovski is on my list to try.

I think a Zeiss Conquest is probably the best value, and used ones are way under your budget. If you can find a Swarovski for the prices these guys are saying, I'd do that.

The last place I saw the 3-9x Accupoint under six was family firearms.

I compared a Meosport R to a Meostar R2 tonight. Crazy how close the Meosport came. And I think I paid $400 for the Meosport. The R2 is several times that. The degree to which the very best Scopes are better than the Meosport isn't really needed just to place shots on deer.

Me either, I have 6-7 of them right now.

Just buy a name brand and you’ll have a huge upgrade.

I change my opinion, I’d spend 200 more and get this one.

Maybe spend ~$10 and buy a box of anti-fog wipes.

Ive been using Leupold longer than that and have had two of their scopes that have had issues. Currently have a VX6 less than 2 years that has air bubbles on the inside. Gonna send it back to Leupold for repairs.

Leupold freedom line is the low end of Leupold. For $600 you can move up to the vx line that will do all you need a scope to do.I’ve hunted with Leupolds for 30 plus years. I own several and have never had one fog. Idid have one vari x Ii (economy line at that time) that wouldn’t hold zero. They replaced it without a problem.

The glass and clarity have NEVER been better than at leupold right now.

Sadly, their quality is down. Just search the internet and you will see what I mean.

To add a scope to the list, I just got my 2nd Viper HD scope. It’s new for the year. Improved glass and coatings.

To me, this thing is optically on par with the VX-5 for 500-600 bucks. Plus, it has an illuminated dot.
