Didn’t go off the shoulder into the jaw, or into the jaw off the shoulder

Had to be a missed target or non-bullet related injury. Who would aim for the head on a quality buck like that?

I killed an 8 pt last year or 2 yrs ago that's missing bottom jaw and tongue. Very sick deer, full of infection. Had to buy a fake skull for the euro mount because you could literally mash on the face and skull and it would break. We figured it was probably shot from the road at night. Deer was skin and bone.
