How ambitious are you to hunt when the freezer is full? How do you spend the rest of your season?

Blessed this year, mine is full between me and my wife. I definitely don't go on windy, rainy days now

My freezer never gets full. I give 99% of deer meat that our hunting produces to my employees. I have all of them professionally processed and try and distribute it equally. They really look forward to hunting season.

If I only hunted to fill the freezer, I’d quit and buy beef and save lots of $$$.

Ill likely hunt till its over, just because thats what i do. I dont need meat and im about tired of it already. You never know what might happen that youll remember the rest of your life. On feb 11 its over.

Trapping hogs till turkey season

Filled our freezer quite early one this year. Haven’t hunted as hard as I typically would, which has been nice. Anything killed at this point will be given away. Have an SOA hunt coming up soon and will hunt that one hard.

I have three freezers i can use . I don't use them like I used to though . Keep a small one in the house , and two in my shed . One for deer one for the garden . I rarely bought beef . Me and daddy love the deer i killed but he's gone now.

If I could get a deer out of the woods it'd be full now . I get my hip fixed ill get back at it

I had a banner year on the gulf and also put a lot of shrimp in the freezer which I’ve been burning through. I told the wife, who’s more excited than I am these days, that we had room for one deer. We weren’t going to shoot any does off our place but she could on public or she can hold out for a buck. I’ve let a few walk that I might have killed in years past. I’ve been concentrating on the hogs. Killing them and distributing to friends that want the meat. Mostly I’ve been focused on what I’m doing on the property before I get busy with work again in Spring. I’ll be clearing out sweetgums in from two areas as part of a habitat enhancement project.

I hunt the same but may let an animal go I'd normally shoot. My out of state hunt, I let 13 bucks walk, 3 were pretty nice. Easy after you've already killed your buck and bull.
I normally don't do it when I give damage tags, but this year I took half of two different cows since my son didn't wanna shoot one. I may take another half and give a qtr to a disabled guy I know.

I'm hunting for a jerky deer now. I don't make jerky until I have enough put up to get me through the year

I’m behind schedule due to work. Only 1 deer in the freezer. Usually have 2 or 3 by now. Been a weird year.

Give them away we don't eat them

My freezer was full before opening day. I am not a meat hunter- I like the work/comradery of a camp/club. I shoot my share of does, donate them, and if a buck worthy of mounting comes in range I may take a shot.
