Laura GMC by far has the best price and largest selection. I just got a 2025 GMC 2500 Denali for about 8k under msrp. I’ve followed them for a few years and they are the cheapest in the country for GMC.

Plug in what you’re looking for on the web and look every day and when you see the deal you’re looking for then jump on it I just did this very thing Looked for 2 months every day until I got a hit on the truck that fit what I was looking for and priced where I needed it
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

I don’t plan on buying another truck anytime soon but when I do I think the next one will be a few years old with lower mileage.

I’ve followed them for a few years and they are the cheapest in the country for GMC. They are the largest GMC dealer in the country When I went to pick mine up, they had right at 300 new 2500 in stock. They sell anywhere from 600 to 1000 new vehicles a month. That is more than most dealers sell in a year.

Was in the market for a pre-covid f250.. I ended up driving about 4.5 hrs to pickup one at a dealer. Same truck in and around the state was about 4-6k more.

He wants a Chevy/GMC 1500 4wd. Thanks for the suggestions and I'll let yall know how it works out. He might want to go ahead and try to find one now if that's what he wants. Chevrolet has some good incentives on 2024 models if you can find one like you want. Tell him to go to chevy.com and search inventory. Their website lets you set the parameters of your search and you can see if anyone, anywhere has the truck you want. I am trying to make a deal on one myself. I didn't think they would ever be cheap enough for me to buy another one, but maybe it's gonna work out. My system all my life has been to buy a new Chevy, put 100k miles on it, then trade it when they have incentives. I've bought 9 new trucks in my life; if I buy # 10 I expect that to be the last one. For the last 20 years, it's cost me right around $3k per year to drive a relatively new truck. And the good thing is I've never had to make a major repair. On the past 3, I haven't had to make any repairs, just buy gas and do the maintenance that's specified. Some folks ignore the maintenance and then complain when their truck breaks down. Good luck!

A guy i work with just bought a new Chevy. He shopped around a got a much better deal at Donahoo in Ft Payne. You can get better deals if your flexible on the truck you want to buy. and from where. Some I know have gone all the way to Louisiana to purchase trucks, well they bring it to them. We use a guy that goes to auctions for our vehicles. Buy one two-3 years old, save a ton of cash. If your son has 1/2 a down payment on new, I bet he could pay the whole thing off with one from an auction.
