If you have a place to hunt around Barbour Co, you should be in the woods.

They are running the creeks and moving water from what I’ve seen.

This snow will tell you what they’re doing.

Be in the woods from now until the season ends is the best advice you’ll ever hear.

BC - Are they chasing down in our area? Figured the snow would delay them a day or two. Was there last week and bucks were walking and putting down scrapes but they were chasing.

At our club in the more NW part of Barbour the first 12 days of Jan is our best time for the rut. I killed two this year on Jan 3 and Jan 9. On Jan 11 there was 5 bucks shot this year.

That’s funny. Mine in Holmes county don’t like the snow. Had bunch on camera chasing and a forkhorn chasing 2 does at 645 am a few days before snow and now they are not coming around. Lots of tracks in snow but they are not coming in like they did before snow when I would get several hundred pictures a day. I got 7 last night. I unplugged feeders yesterday so corn would flow freely and part of food plot green again but snow definitely affected them. See if they move today with food back. It’s very frustrating.

I'm hunting at the lodge. I had two really good bucks come through, the morning before the blizzard. I have seen both of them every morning since. They just walk through checking. Haven't been to the feeder though

They’re chasing about everywhere from what I’ve seen, all over the place. I haven’t been to the river in about a week but I’m sure they’re getting fired up over that way too. I’ve been seeing some good bucks killed in the triangle between Louisville, Clayton, and Texasville.
