Sitka Fanatic is the real deal. I didn’t believe it until I bought bibs and jacket. Throw in the neck gaiter and boggin and it’s toasty. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/7ZgFv2hX/IMG-0428.jpg) My god I would be sweating to death. The only time I’ve worn something over my ears and face was a few weeks ago in Missouri and it was -3 windchill. And even then I couldn’t wear it until I got up in the lock on and sat for 45 minutes.

I use the Sitka 40% off code every year and buy a couple pieces a year. Next year I’m gonna buy the Finatic jacket and bibs. Everything else I have is awesome. Where can one get this code? GOVX website for military and First responders.

Have tried a lot of base layers. Sitka has crap for base layers, First Lite is up there, but my money is on Minus33.
As far as mid thru outer layers go I pretty much have had or currently have everything that Sitka offers in their Whitetail and Big Game lineup. Not a flex, I just capitalize when they offer their 40% codes each year.
Everyone handles cold differently. What temp ranges are you trying to handle?

Kuiu Attack pants are my favorite late season pant. I won’t wear them until the temps get to around 40 degrees and lower.

Used my First Responder discount at First Lite and got me a pair of obsidian foundry pants and I love them it's my first FL item I'm impressed. They aren't insulated or anything but they are the perfect hunting pant.

I actually went to Marks Wednesday to look for some better gloves than what I had and discovered them. I couldn’t turn down their half off sale on their camo that they had there or the price point of the high point pants and a Gunnison hoodie. After talking to the guy over that store section he told me that Pnuma was started from a former employee of Sitka. I wore it yesterday morning and the only layering I needed under the pants was literally one pair base layers and stayed comfortable all morning long. I’m looking for the high point jacket right now. Oh and I didn’t find any gloves that I wanted there! 😂😂

I have been having an issue staying warm with my past base layers when the temps dropped below 25-30 degrees. I’ll look into them for next year unless they have a sale on them now. (See above reply) the Gunnison hoodie seems to be a great addition for base layers, but I’m always looking to try some good base layers for work, hunting, etc. to keep from having to layer up so much.

Just a heads up, they’re not brush busting pants. They’re soft, but I wear them here and out west. They’ve never given me any problems whatsoever.

Those of you using the minus33 base layers, are you using the mid or expedition weight for AL winters?

If I wore a size LG and was currently looking for an outer layer to keep me on the stand 0-30 degrees for what I thinks an affordable price or good deal, I'd go to the Code of Silence outlet section and buy those Coldfjail Bibs for $210. They're rated for -10 to 30 degrees, quiet for bow hunting, and warm. I have the original pant/jacket (rated 20-40 degrees) and sat 5-6hrs at a time in temps around 18-25 degrees in the snow. The coldest I saw was 11 degrees getting out of the truck to hunt and was just fine. I only came out to eat a quick bite and stretch my legs. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/9PMHsxG.jpeg)

I needed some bibs as mine are 20 years old. I bought these coldjfall bibs, farewinds merino top and a baclava hope they are as warm and as quiet as your review and the reviews on the site
