After the drought this summer I’ve started to see signs of settling. A few cracks around the windows and ceiling. I’m looking for a structural engineer to make an assess and recommendations. I’ve been told to stay away from AFS. Ideally I want a report from someone who doesn’t do repair work. TIA.
I would get started with a phone call to Barter and Associates or Barton and Shumer. They deal mostly in commercial but could probably get you pointed in the right direction.
Its better to be a warrior in the garden than a gardener in war.
Do not have a recommendation on engineer but Blue ox has done several pier jobs in my neighborhood. They were much cheaper and quicker than most of the other big companies, but they did terrible repair patches in the several spots where they broke up my concrete driveway to put down piers.

Thanks. I just scheduled an appointment with Barton and Shumer for next week.

We can help as well, but after just doing the engineering on foundation repair for 30 years bought a company to repair as well. Pm if interested. I’ll pay the guvner if we can help.

If I find that I need to do some repairs, I will call you. Thanks.
