Anyone have them? Interested in how well they do/tread wear.

What would you be running them on, & what load rating. You’ll get great mileage on a Tacoma, while a Duramax diesel not so much.

I've had KO2's since the 90's. First on a half ton Chevy, then a Jeep 4dr Wrangler. Always loved them and considered myself a customer for life.

However, the last two sets had balance issues that just wouldn't quit. 4+ oz of weight on each tire to get balanced and rebalance required every 3-4k miles. Just drove me crazy. So I finally bit the bullet and switched to Toyo's this past summer. All balance with less than 0.5 oz weight and run find, although a bit more noise.

Shame really, I loved the KO2's...

These were 33-35" tires and all "C" rated, btw

I have had the KO2's ( not 3's) and Toyo Open Country's No comparison. Toyo hands down.

I’ve got 20k on mine so far. Seem to be doing ok but a little more wear than what I can remember my KO2s being at this point.

I ran a bunch of sets of KO2's (all Load E) and never got great tread wear. For me when they would get 2/3 worn they were prone to hydroplaning. So, I would get a new set (back when they were $600-800. But when they got expensive I quit and moved on.

My Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXPs have worn about as good as anything (other than a michelin X type radial). They are the old Dick Cepek EXP and they have better sidewall stability and wear than the Falken wildpeak on the 10 ply side.

So, I know the question was KO3 related but for the price and my KO2s experience have already made me a hard pass.

I hated to see them change to the new design, since the ko2s have been so great. I always got 50K miles on my 3/4 ton diesel and got 80K on my 4Runner. Luckily, I was able to replace them with another set of ko2s before the switch over.

I never had any of the wet weather issues with any of my ko2s that others claim to have had.

I have had the KO2s on two different sequoias and get 60k miles easily. I rotate every 5000 with my oil changes cause it’s free. Curious to hear how others experience the KO3s

The original KO's were great, went through 3 sets I think, I got 80,000 out of my last set of those. They changed to the KO2 and I could not get rid of them fast enough. They would not balance. Wear pattern was horrible. Wet traction on pavement was really horrible. I found myself using four wheel drive to get up hills in the rain. Got rid of them at 25,000 with maybe 20% tread left. Hopefully the threes are better, but I do not think I would buy a set without testing them on someone else's truck first.

Have had KO2s for last three sets of tires, all on a Landcruiser. Got about 57K on my current set and getting KO3's next week. Have done a bunch of reading and research into the KO3's and other comparable tires. Best I can tell, its a crap shoot but based on the previous performance of he KO2's, I'll give them a shot. Won't know until I know.

I go through a set of tires every 10k miles so I try something different each time. Toyo AT3’s are a nice tire especially in wet weather. Every Goodrich or Michelin product has better chunking resistance and are tough as heck for me but suck on wet pavement and rocks.

I don’t like the tread pattern change with the K03 and would just opt for a KM3 instead

In the end for me every tire is torn up by 10k but the Goodrich line takes longer initially to start looking nasty but accelerate after that. Even my Goodrich and Michelins are done by 10k and they won’t warranty them because they claim my off road habits are beyond normal.

I think the Goodrich Trail Terrain is better than the all terrains. Its Street or MT for me now.

I had KO2's. Always felt good about getting there, but they wore pretty fast. Expensive.

I don’t, either, but am looking at them, Toyo AT3 or R/T or Nitto Ridge Grappler XL rated. If you don’t need the capacity of E rated, the Nitto XL rated (126 I think) still has 16/32 tread depth (116 rated has 13/32), but less weight and more compliant ride than E.
I keep seeing people saying the KO3s are a big improvement over the KO2s in the rain, but don’t remember seeing many higher mileage reports saying good or bad longevity, yet.

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

I’ve seen many Nitto tires blow on my trails on other folks trucks. Roads that don’t even pop a Michelin LTX

I’ve had two sets of KO2s on my tundra. The guy that sold them to me said to make sure watch the pressure. They have low road noise and have lasted. I did the chalk test and found 40 in front and 36 in the rear gave me the most even wear. I rotate them every oil change.

Had several sets. I've got long life out of all. Smooth ride too.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I bought a set of 265/75/18 K03's for my '24 Chevy Trail Boss about 3 months ago. Expensive ($1500/set w/road hazard insurance) but seem worth it. Ride extremely well and look great. No noticable wear so far. I would buy again.

I have KO3 on a '22 tacoma but haven't tested in anything special or had them long enough other than to say great on the hwy. I'd say on a road and hard packed road go for it.

I have KO2's on my everyday truck. My only complaint is hitting big rain puddles, not sipped enough I guess because it pushes. Great on everything else including heavy snow.
If ya buy at costco ya get a 30 day window. I tried the 10ply KO2 and didn't like my throttle response and went and grabbed a lighter KO2
